A story a day, for thirty days

So this little story snuck into my unconscious mind a few weeks ago, manifesting itself during the course of a 20-film James Bond marathon.  Bond kept me sane during some intense studying in October, but I ended up thinking, “He’s a little slap happy with the women.”  That plus womanizer surely equals misogynist.

In real life, a guy like that is making up for something.  He probably genuinely hates people.  Men and women, and himself.  The Brosnan films pushed for a psychological angle on Bond, and obviously hit the mark.  But surface is fine, in a film – real life comes with undercurrents to every personality, and the symptoms of hatred (surface) are only a minute aspect of the genuine hatred (within).
